SWIMMING TEAMS PICK UP WINS AT SAINT MICHAEL'S
Men: Bryant 120, St. Michael's 105
Women: Bryant 174, St. Michael's 120
COLCHESTER, Vermont - The Bryant men's and women's swim teams turned in a strong all-around effort in earning a Northeast-10 Conference dual meet victory at Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldog men earned a 120-105 victory with the women cruising to a 174-120 win over the Purple Knights. The men were led by Steven Nguyen who took firsts in the 50 breaststroke in 30.33 seconds, the 100 breaststroke (1:07.39), and 50 backstroke (37.84).
Senior Ray Savner helped set the tone for the Bulldogs on the day with a strong showing in the 100 freestyle, winning in 50.62 seconds while also adding a first place finish in the 50 freestyle earlier in 23.06 seconds. Tom Ferrigno cruised to a win in the 1,000 yard freestyle in 10:32.52 and later added a win in the 400 IM in 4:20.24.
The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday when they head to Pleasantville, NY for a tri-meet with host Pace and the University of Bridgeport. It will be the final tune-up before New England's take place Feb. 15.
