New Haven, Conn - The Southern Connecticut State University Owls, won thier third straight Northeast-10 Swiming/Diving Conference championship on Saturday, December 10th. The Bryant Bulldogs concluded their two day trip to the conference championship, with a men's team total of 209 points and the women's team earned 202 points on Saturday.
In the Women's 400 Yard Medley Relay, Andrea Geoffroy, Christa Berard, Kristen Brekne, and Kim Noto placed fifth with (4:33.74), For the Men's 400 Relay, Chris Desmarais, Tom Desbiens, Ricky Cosse, and Ray Savner finished the event with (4:18.20).
For the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle, Bulldog Andrea Geoffroy reached the paint with (2:10.89).
Nate Olszewski competed in the Men's 400 Yard Individual Medley, totaling (4:50.15) for time. Teammate Jamie MacDougall touched the wall with (5:59.65) on the clock.
At the end of the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly, Kristen Brekne closed in with (1:05.69), 400 Yard Medley Relay teammate Andrea Geoffroy finished the 100 Yard Backstroke with (1:05.74).
In the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, Bulldogs: Kristen Brekne, Christa Berard, Kim Noto, and Andrea Geoffroy finished with (1:47.17). On the men's side: Tom Desbiens, Nate Olszewski, Chris Desmarais, and Ray Savner finished the event with (1:36.18).
For the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke, Bulldog Brekne completed the event with (1:19.68), followed by Berard with (1:22.06). The men's team was represented by Olszewski who reached the end of the event with (1:12.21).
In the Women's 800 Yard Freestyle Relay: Danielle L'Esperance, Jess DePetrillo, Monica Kraus, and Noto totaled a time of (9:22.18) in the event. On the men's side: Olszewski, Cosse, Savner, and Desbiens reached the end with (8:23.77).
Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay, was represented by Bulldogs: Chris Desmarais, Cosse, MacDougall, and Billy Ryan who finished with (2:01.08).
Noto clocked (26.26) in the 50 Yard Freestyle, accompained by teamate Geoffroy who finished with (27.20). Ray Savner for the men's team, touched the wall with (22.94) in the Men's 50 Yard Free.
Brekne finished the Women's 200 Yard Individual Medley with (2:30.33), Fellow Bulldog Berard completed the Women's 200 Yard Breaststroke with (2:55.37).
In the Men's 200 Yard Breaststroke, Olszewski completed with (2:35.76), and teammate Desbiens reached the wall with (2:53.85).
Geoffroy finished the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke event, with a time of (2:23.47).
The Women's 100 Yard Freestyle event, Bryant Bulldog Noto reached the finish with (57.86), followed by teammate Brekne who clocked (59.28) in the 100 Free. For the men Savner timed (50.72) in the Men's 100 Free.
For the Men's 100 Yard Butterfly event, the Bulldog's own Olszewski clocked (20:18.95). In the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, Geoffroy, Noto, Berard, and Brekne completed the event with (3:55.86). For the men's side Desbiens, Desmarais, Olszewski, and Savner finished the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with (3:35.16).
The Bulldogs will take a break for the holiday season, and will return to action on Saturday, January, 14 at 2:00pm when they host WPI in a non-conference meet.
