MEN'S SWIMMING FINISHES FIFTH AT NEW ENGLAND DIVISION II-III CHAMPIONSHIPS

Junior Tom Ferrigno was named the Swimmer of the Meet at the Division II-III New England Championships this past weekend.



DARTMOUTH, MA - The Bryant University men's swim team finished fifth after the final day of competition at the New England Division II - III Championships. 

Bentley won the overall team title followed by Keene State, Norwich and Roger Williams.  Tom Ferrigno was named the Swimmer of the Meet for his performances throughout the weekend.

On Sunday, the junior won the 1650 in a school record and National B cut time OF 16:09.76. 

Ray Savner placed sixth in the men's 100 freestyle in 49.93 seconds while freshman Matt Derwin capped a strong weekend with a third-place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.67. 

John Cieslewski took home fourth in the 100 individual medley, setting a new school record in the process by touching the wall in 58.01 seconds.  In the relays, the 400 free took fourth, also setting a school record of 3:19.76.
