BRYANT MEN'S TENNIS PLACES THREE ON NORTHEAST-10 ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's tennis team placed three student-athletes on the 2006 Northeast-10 All-Conference Team the conference announced Saturday. The Bulldogs had a representative on each of the three all-conference teams led by Al Duro (Braintree, Mass.) who was named First Team All-Conference. Duro, a junior, posted an 11-1 record in conference matches at No. 5 singles for the Bulldogs this season.
Junior Ben Caisse (Griswold, Conn.) was named Second Team All-Conference at No. 4 singles after posting an 11-1 record at the position this spring - 11-4 overall. Junior Zach Goodman (Amherst, Mass.) rounds out the all-conference selections at Second Team All-Conference at No. 3 singles. Goodman posted a 10-3 conference record in Northeast-10 play and was 10-5 overall this spring.
In addition, the doubles tandem of Caisse and Goodman were named third team All-Conference at No. 3 doubles with a 9-4 league mark. Bryant went 9-7 overall this season (8-3 in NE-10 play) advancing as far as the conference tournament semifinals before falling to No. 1 seed Assumption.
