Men's Tennis Drops Pair of Non-Conference Matches at Queens and Concordia

MEN'S TENNIS DROPS PAIR OF MATCHES TO QUEENS AND CONCORDIA 

The Bryant men's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches over the weekend in New York. The Bulldogs fell to Queens 6-3 and Concordia by a score of 8-1.  Against Queens, Zach Goodman (Amherst, Mass.) and Matt Shephard-Lupo (West Boothbay Harbor, Maine) were the singles winners on the day at No. 4 and No. 6 singles respectively.  Goodman earned a hard-fought three-set match with Jimmy Delevante at No. 4.  After winning the first the first set 6-4 and falling 2-6 in the second, the senior battled out an 11-9 decision in the tie breaker to earn the victory.  Sheppard-Lupo picked up a solid 6-3, 6-1 straight-set victory over the Knights' Faiz Uzzman. 

Against Concordia, Sheppard-Lupo was Bryant's lone winner on the day as the freshman defeated Vito Galiato in three sets at No. 6 singles, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2. The Bulldogs host Franklin Pierce on Monday.
