PAREDES NAMED NORTHEAST CONFERENCE MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Smithfield, R.I. - Bryant University junior Juan-Martin Paredes (Quito, Ecuador) has been named the Northeast Conference men's tennis player of the week.  This is the first Northeast Conference player of the week honor awarded to a member of the men's tennis team.

Parades won four consecutive matches in straight sets to capture the Flight A singles bracket championship at the UConn Invitational this past weekend.  He battled the rest of the competition, with wins over members of Holy Cross, Bucknell, and UConn.

In Bryant's second season of transition to full Division I play, this is the first ever Flight A Championship title.

Paredes and the rest of the Bulldogs will be back in action this Sunday October 4th at Roger Williams.
