MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO SACRED HEART 5-2
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Sacred Heart University Saturday night at Rally Point in the team's first home match of the spring season. The Bulldogs got off to a strong start by winning the doubles point thanks to wins by Juan Paredes and Nicholai Hill at No. 2 doubles and Cristian Balestrieri and Andres Orbotig's 8-6 win at No. 3.
But in singles play, the Pioneers stormed back, winning five of six matches to take the 5-2 win. The only win in singles play for the Bulldogs came at No. 2 where Paredes earned a straight-set win over Chris Ujkic, 6-3, 6-4.
Bryant will travel to Savannah, Ga. next week for four matches during Spring Break.
