SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team sits at a perfect 5-0 in Northeast Conference action as the individual awards continued on Tuesday when sophomore Zachary Morris (Garden City, N.Y.) earned his second NEC Men's Tennis Player of the Week award.

After a slow start Morris has come on strong in the past few weeks, currently riding a seven-match win streak in the number one singles position. On Thursday, the Garden City, N.Y. native led the Bulldogs to a 7-0 sweep of Sacred Heart, topping James Barnhardt, 7-5, 6-2, in #1 flight play. On Saturday, the sophomore may have picked up his best-ever singles win, besting Brown's Michael Reichmann – ranked 11th in the most recent ITA Northeast region singles rankings - in three sets, 5-7, 6-4, 10-5.

Morris and partner Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) have also been nearly unstoppable, teaming up for an 8-6 victory at #1 doubles versus SHU, and dropped a narrow 9-7 decision against Brown.  Morris is now 10-9, 3-1 NEC on the year in singles and 16-10, 4-0, in doubles action.

The Bulldogs have now won six of the seven NEC Men's Tennis Player of Week/Month awards this season, with Morris and Parziale each claiming two apiece and senior Vidith Huot (Providence, R.I.) and freshman Max Vogt (Fair Oaks, Calif.) each with one. Overall, Bryant has secured nine NEC men's tennis weekly honors this year.

Bryant will close out its NEC slate Saturday at St. Francis Brooklyn before visiting Fordham on Sunday.
