SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After winning the first three Northeast Conference Player of the Month honors, senior captain Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) of the Bryant University men's tennis team earns his first NEC Player of the Week honor, announced the conference Tuesday.

After a tough stretch vs. multiple nationally ranked opponents, Parziale picked up a straight set, #1 flight win over Quinnipiac's Kei Ezaka on Saturday.  The 6-4, 6-3 triumph was his 20th singles win of the year against just 11 defeats.  He also battled to a 6-3, 6-1 loss against Brown's Justin To, a former All-Confernece USA player at Rice before transferring to the Bears.  In doubles action, Parziale teamed up with junior Zachary Morris (Garden City, N.Y.) for an 8-4 win over Ezaka and Ryoma Haraguchi in the Bulldogs' 5-2 win over the Bobcats.

The Bulldogs continue their 2014 spring slate with action at Ivy League foe Yale on Sunday at 4 p.m.
