SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After clinching his 22nd singles victory of the 2014 season Saturday vs. Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, senior captain Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) was named Corvias ECAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced the ECAC Wednesday.

After earning his second Northeast Conference Player of the Week honor to go along with three NEC Player of the Month accolades from the fall, Parziale earns the first-ever ECAC Player of the Week selection in program history.

On Saturday, Parziale propelled Bryant to a dominant 4-1 victory over back-to-back NEC champion Fairleigh Dickinson, scoring one of the biggest wins of his career with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (8) triumph over two-time NEC Player of the Year Arvis Berzins.

Parziale also knocked off UConn's Wayne Harrell, 6-3, 6-3, last Wednesday in the Bulldogs' 8-5 win over their New England rival.

Most recently, Parziale helped the Bulldogs pick up a pair of big wins at nationally-ranked Division II foe Brandeis on Wednesday, pushing the senior's win total to a league-high 23 in singles competition, including 11 at the No. 1 flight.  Parziale has also posted a 19-8 mark in doubles play.

Bryant will wrap up its regular season when it hosts Sacred Heart in Smithfield on Sunday in the team's final tune up before commencing play at the Northeast Conference Championships on Thursday, April 17.
