Bulldog Softball Preparing for Fall Season

December 17, 2004

Coach Lisa-Ann Walllace and the Bryant softball team put together an amazing streak that saw the team finish at 25-15 and fourth in the Northeast-10. The Bulldogs earned their first trip to the conference tournament since 1995 and their first-ever berth in the NCAA tournament.

Thanks to the play of seniors Katie Kelly, Nicole Keene, and Katie Slack and First Team all-Northeast-10 Conference outfielder Amanda Wilbur, the Bulldogs exceeded all expectations.

Keene shattered several school-records, while catcher Jordan Dargon earned second team honors, and Kelley garnered third team all-conference recognition.

The Bulldogs will open the fall 2004 season on Sunday, September 12 with a tournament at Holy Cross. Bryant will face Holy Cross and Saint Anselm. Saturday, Sept. 18 will be the annual Alumni Game starting at 11 a.m. There will be a slow-pitch softball game and parents are welcome to play. A potluck bbq will take place around noon.
