Bulldogs Ranked No. 4 In Region
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University softball team hosts Southern
N.H. on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in a makeup game from an
earlier rainout. The Bulldogs, with 21 wins this season, are
currently in second place in the Northeast-10 Conference standings
at 18-4 while Le Moyne remains top team in the conference at
16-2.
The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 4 in the Northeast Region according to the latest poll released last Wednesday. Caldwell (23-6) is first, followed by C.W. Post (24-8) and Le Moyne. This year, the Bulldogs been led by the standout play of senior Deidre Kittredge (Worcester, Mass.).
The senior is hitting .455 on the year with 51 hits and 13 doubles. She had driven in 30 runs this year and brings a .661 slugging percentage into Tuesday's game.
