Bryant's Carly Muise Named To ESPN The Magazine Third Team 
 

  
SMITHFIELD, RI . –   Bryant University softball senior CARLY MUISE (Hanson, Mass.) has been named to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third Team announced this week by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).   Earning first team district honors earlier in May,  Muise is one of 33 student-athletes nationwide selected to the 2005 Academic All-America team.   

A four-year letterwinner in softball for the Bulldogs, Muise was a First Team Northeast-10 All-Conference selection in 2005 with a .304 batting average and .980 fielding percentage. The Bulldogs posted a 29-17 record in capturing the school's first-ever conference title and second-consecutive berth in the NCAA tournament this past spring.  
    
In addition to her athletic achievements, Muise is a four-time academic selection by the NFCA and Northeast-10 Conference scholar athlete.  She recently was named the Bryant Scholar Athlete of the Year with a 3.93 GPA in Applied Actuarial Mathematics and is the school's nominee for the 2005 NCAA Woman of the Year award.
