Senior Catcher, Jordan Dargon named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Smithfield, RI - Bryant University softball player, Jordan Dargon has been named Northeast-10 Player of the week for her outstanding performance over the past week. A senior from Trumbull, CT, Jordan does not only lead the Bulldogs with her bat but also as a captain. Being the only senior on the squad, Dargon has to play an important role in guiding the rest of the young team each and every game. In addition, she has to especially deal closely with the pitching staff because she is the team's catcher.

Last week, Jordan hit a blistering .467 (7-15) driving in nine runs while scoring six. She had two homeruns to go along with three doubles. She went 3-3 with three runs, five RBI's, and a homerun in a win against Saint Rose on Saturday.

Jordan is leading the team this year with a .432 batting average. She also has a team high five doubles, 14 RBI's and eight walks. Her slugging percentage is a team best .730 as well as her on base percentage .553.

Dargon currently holds the single season and career record for walks with 24 and 69 respectively.
