SCHEDULE FOR SEASON-OPENING SCHUTT SPORTS/DIVISION II/ LEAD OFF CLASSIC ANNOUNCED

SMITHFIELD, RI- The Bryant softball team will kick off their 2007 campaign with a trip to Phoenix Arizona to compete in the Schutt Sports/Division II/ Lead Off Classic. The final schedule sees Bryant opening up play on Thursday, February 15 with games against Cal State Stanislaus and Grand Canyon University. The following day the Bulldogs are slated to play Abilene Christian University before tournament play begins Friday night. 

 Twenty nine Division II teams will compete in pool play at the tournament before being moved into one of three brackets for weekend play. 

 The Bulldogs are coming off a second consecutive Northeast-10 Conference championship and return most of last year's team. 

Bryant's first home game of the season will be April 5, when they host Adelphi.
