Enos NE-10 Pitcher of the Week Again, Houseal Named Freshman of the Week

Smithfield, RI - For the second week in a row, senior Janine Enos (Wareham, Mass.) was named NE-10 pitcher of the week. Fellow starting pitcher Samantha Houseal (Mount Joy, PA) was named freshman of the week.

Enos (8-3, 1.69 ERA) dominated for the second straight week. The senior starter was 4-0 with a 0.71 ERA during a 7-1 week for the Bulldogs. During the week, Enos captured her 41st career win, a new school record. She threw three complete games including a shutout of regional power Adelphi. Enos struck out 18 batters in 28.1 innings while pponents hit just .176 against her.

Houseal finished the week 3-1 with a 0.51 ERA and her first career save. The freshman threw four complete games including a shutout of Southern Connecticut and struck out 11 batters in 27.1 innings.

Sophomore catcher Ashley Coon (Levittown, PA) was named to the weekly honor roll while batting .409 with nine hits and 3 RBI while getting on base at a .458 clip.
