Thomas Garners All-Academic Honors from Northeast-10 Conference

Smithfield, RI - Junior Bryant outfielder Kate Thomas (Bedford, NH) has been named to the Northeast-10 All-Academic second team. Thomas leads the Bulldogs with a .550 slugging percentage and 19 RBIs.

Thomas is an actuarial mathematics major with a GPA of 3.41. Her minor is in business administration.
"We are very proud of Kate's academic and athletic performance," says Coach Lisa-Ann Wallace. "She is a great example to our players about what a true student-athlete is."
The award is open to all players in at least their second year of school and is determined based on academic excellence and athletic contributions.
Thomas was an All-Northeast-10 Conference third teamer as a freshman, and was the Conference's Player of the Week earlier this month. Her five triples this year are one shy of a team record.
The Bulldogs, in second place in the conference, return to action this afternoon with a doubleheader against Saint Anselm at the Bryant Softball Complex.
