SOFTBALL'S NON-CONFERENCE MATCHUP AT RIVAL URI CANCELLED FOR THURSDAY 

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The non-conference softball matchup between intrastate rivals Bryant and Rhode Island scheduled for Thursday afternoon in Kingston, R.I. has been cancelled due to the inauguration of the new University of Rhode Island President.

The Bulldogs (3-24, 0-6), looking for their first conference win of the season, will play two doubleheaders this weekend when they host Northeast Conference foes Central Connecticut and Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

First pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 12 p.m. while Sunday's action will get underway at 2 p.m.
