SOFTBALL SAYS GOODBYE TO THREE PROGRAM STAPLES
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Emotions ran high in the function room at the Bryant Center on Sunday afternoon as Bryant University head softball coach Lisa-Ann Wallace, her team, their families and their friends all gathered to honor the three members of the 2010 senior class. Sunday’s game with Monmouth may have been rained out, but it certainly did not dampen the spirits at the annual senior day reception.
The Bulldogs honored seniors Ali Chouinard (Swansea, Mass.), Ashley Coon (Levittown, Pa.) and Kim Leonard (Milford, Mass.) for four years of dedication to the Bryant softball program. This trio has had its hand in 76 victories, two NCAA tournaments including one game away from reaching the World Series as freshman, plus two Northeast-10 tournament appearances. These three girls have also played an integral role in the program’s transition to the Division I level.
Here are a few photos from Sunday’s festivities… For a full photo gallery follow the link at the top of the page.
