WALLACE AND PAIR OF ALUMS RAISE NEARLY $10,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH IN PAN-MASS CHALLENGE
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University head softball coach Lisa-Ann Wallace and a pair of Bulldog softball alumnae were among the more than 5,000 cyclists to ride in the 30th Annual Pan-Mass Challenge on Aug. 1-2, raising over $35 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Wallace was joined by former players Carly Muise '05 and Jordan Dargon '06 for the two-day, 189-mile trek and together raised $9,873 for Dana-Farber and its Jimmy Fund.

BRYANT HEAD SOFTBALL COACH LISA-ANN WALLACE TO RIDE IN PAN-MASS CHALLENGE
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head softball coach Lisa-Ann Wallace will be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge on August 1-2, taking on the two-day, 198-mile bike ride through Massachusetts to help raise money for cancer research and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

The Bulldogs honored seniors Anne Dobmeier and Stephanie Mirando in a ceremony following the game, as the two put on the black and gold for the final time.

BRYANT DROPS PAIR OF PITCHER’S DUELS, 2-0 AND 1-0, TO ALBANY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
ALBANY, N.Y. - The Bryant University softball team fell in a pair of pitcher's duels at Albany on Wednesday afternoon, losing 2-0 and 1-0 to the Great Danes. Bulldog starter Samantha Houseal (Mount Joy, Pa.) was excellent in both contests, giving up just three runs on eight hits in 12 innings over the two games while striking out five.

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant University softball team will play its final games of its Division I season this week. as they travel to UConn and Albany this week before hosting Sacred Heart on Saturday for Senior Day 2009. The Bulldogs will take on the Pioneers, who qualified for the Northeast Conference tournament this year, at 12 pm, followed by Senior Day festivities.

SMITHFIELD, R.I – The Bryant University softball team split a doubleheader with Brown on Thursday afternoon, winning game one, 11-3, before losing game two, 13-7. The 11 runs in game one were the most for the Bulldogs this season, as they combined for 18 runs on 24 hits in the two contests.

WALLACE GETS WIN NUMBER 200 AS BULLDOGS SWEEP DOUBLEHEADER AT CCSU
WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – The Bryant softball team swept a doubleheader from Central Connecticut on Wednesday, winning by finals of 4-0 and 7-3, as head coach Lisa-Ann Wallace collected her 200th career win with the program. Wallace, who is the all-time winningest coach in the history of the program, improved her record to 201-193-1 with the two wins.

The weekend began with a dinner on Friday night, followed by the annual one-pitch slow-pitch Alumni Game on Saturday, as the alumni took on the current Bryant Bulldogs at the Bryant Softball Complex .
