WALLACE AND PAIR OF ALUMS RAISE NEARLY $10,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH IN PAN-MASS CHALLENGE

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University head softball coach Lisa-Ann Wallace and a pair of Bulldog softball alumnae were among the more than 5,000 cyclists to ride in the 30th Annual Pan-Mass Challenge on Aug. 1-2, raising over $35 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Wallace was joined by former players Carly Muise '05 and Jordan Dargon '06 for the two-day, 189-mile trek and together raised $9,873 for Dana-Farber and its Jimmy Fund.

The trio raised nearly $10,000
for the Dana-Farber Cancer
Institute in biking the 189-
mile Pan-Mass Challenge.

"I never cease to be touched and truly honored each and every time I see new donation come in to support us and our goal," said Wallace. "Some of them come from dear friends, some from peers and co-workers, some are from people I know only online and still others are from people I don't know at all. These are the real heroes - the people who are willing to give for the sake of others. This bike ride would not have worked without their generous support."

The trio biked 111 miles in Day One, finishing course's 78 remaining miles on Day Two.

Wallace participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge, which runs from Sturbridge to Provincetown, in memory of her father, Uly Primeau, who lost his battle with prostate cancer on February 26, 2009. A dedicated father and devoted Bulldog supporter, Primeau was the Bryant softball program's biggest fan.

"My dad kept me safe and kept the sun shining down on all of us the entire weekend," she said. "He would have really enjoyed watching me finish and I miss having him there. I can only imagine him smiling, telling me how proud he is."
