As a Junior: Thomas had a breakout season in 2008, garnering third team All Northeast-10 accolades. One of the best offensive threats, Kate led the team with a .325 batting average and was second with a .553 slugging percentage. The junior found herself among the conference leaders, finishing first in triples with six, while also finishing seventh in walks (19) and 11th in slugging percentage. Thomas finished the season ranking second on the team in RBIs (26), homeruns (4) and on-base percentage (.436).
As a Sophomore: Started 35 games and hit .252 with two home runs. Came on strong in the NCAA tournament, hitting .313 with 3 RBI in 6 games.
As a Freshman: Thomas earned Third Team All-Conference honors with four home runs and a .268 batting average in 35 starts. She hit a game-winning home run against regional powerhouse C.W. Post on April 15.
Before Bryant: Kate is a 2005 graduate of Trinity High School where she was a four year starter. She also played basketball for four years and earned a state championship in 2005. Kate earned High Honors academically in high school.
Personal: Katelyn Thomas was born July 7, 1987. She is the daughter of Sue and Bob Thomas. Kate is an Actuarial Mathematics major.
