BRYANT SWIMMING TO SEND EIGHT TO NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

SMITHFIELD, RI - You might have a hard time convincing most that this is the first year of varsity swimming at Bryant University.  Despite this being the first year that men's swimming has been reinstated since the early 1980's and the first year of women's swimming at the university, the Bulldogs have enjoyed a success year of competition.  As a result of the team's hard work, eight individuals will represent Bryant at the New England Division II-III Championships in Springfield Feb. 17-18.

Representing the Bulldogs will be:  Andrea Geoffrey ''08 (Belchertown, Mass.), Ricky Cosse '09 (Cos Cob, Conn.), Jaime McDougall '08 (Waltham, Mass.), Nate Olszewski '07 (Blandford, Mass.), Tom Desbiens '07 (Hope Valley, RI), Chris Desmarais '09 (Burlington, Conn.), Ray Savner '08 (Bethlehem, Conn.), Christa Berard '08 (Alfred, Maine), and Kristen Brekne '09 (Stony Brook, NY). Jessica Depetrillo '07 (Bradenton, FL) will look to compete in relays. 

The meet will be hosted by Western New England College in Springfield Feb. 17-19.
