Swimming Competes at Roger Williams

The Bryant University women's swim team picked up a 129-98 win at Roger Williams on Saturday as Margaret Dickinson captured first in three events to help lead the Bulldogs to the dual meet victory. The men were defeated by Roger Wiliams, 145-80. The teams will compete at the Bentley Invitational Sunday.

Dickinson captured first in the women's 200 IM and followed with strong first-place finishes in the 500 free in a time of five minutes, 45.34 seconds and followed with a first in the 200 backstroke in 2:40.00.  Alyssa Glass won two events, winning the 50 free in 26.72 seconds while following with a first in the 100 freestyle in 57.95.

Jess Looney also captured first in two separate events as well as serving as part of the first place 400 medley relay team. Looney won in the 1000 free in 11:12.10 and added a first in the 200 backstroke in 2:18.33.

The men were led by James Newton's first in the 200 backstroke in 2:08.30.
