Swimming Competes at Bentley College Invitational

WALTHAM, Mass. - The busy weekend continued for the Bryant men's and women's swim teams. After competing at Roger Williams Saturday, the Bulldogs took part in the Bentley College Invitational Sunday at the Dana Center. The men placed fifth with 43 points and women were also fifth with 47 points.
Leading the way for the women was Jess Looney who captured first place in two events as well as adding a second and third place finish on the afternoon. Looney won the women's 1000 freestyle in 11 minutes, 4.97 seconds and added a first in the 200 backstroke in 2:13.88.
Margaret Dickinson added a new school record in the women's 200 freestyle while the men's 400 medley relay team set a new school record in 3:55.95 - besting the previous mark by more than 10 seconds.
Ray Savner had a strong day for the men, finishing second in the 100 yard free in 50.72 seconds and adding a third place finish.
