SWIM TEAMS FINISH STRONG AT NEW ENGLANDS

DURHAM, NH - The Bryant University swimming team showed just how far they have come in their second year of varsity swimming this weekend at the New England Swimming and Diving Championships. The women's team finished in third-place with 513 team points behind perennial powerhouses Bentley and Keene State. The men finished respectably in eight with 186 points.
John Cieslewski (Watertown, Conn.) became Bryant's first swimmer to win an event at the New England Championships after winning the 50 breaststroke on Friday. Jess Looney (Goffstown, NH) took second in the 200 backstroke, earning an NCAA B national cut mark. She would later win the 400 IM on Saturday in 4:47.40. Margaret Dickinson (West Newbury, Mass.) was fourth in the 400 IM in a time of 4:54.06. Ray Savner (Bethlehem, Conn.) took second in the men's 50 freestyle on Friday.
