BRYANT SWIM RESULTS VS. ADELPHI
Men: Adelphi 97, Bryant 83
Women: Bryant 104, Adelphi 101
SMITHFIELD, RI -- Freshman Jess Looney (Goffstown, NH) picked up two individual victories Saturday to help lead the Bryant University women's swim team to a 104-101 win over Adelphi University at the Chace Athletic Center Pool. The Bryant men fell to the visiting Panthers in the dual meet, 97-83.
Looney picked up a win in the 400 yard individual medley in a time of 4 minutes, 55.39 seconds and later was the first in the 200 yard breaststroke by the narrowest of margins. Looney touched the wall in a time of 2:37.06, just edging Adelphi's Rachel Rice who was second in 2:37.71.
Margaret Dickinson (West Newbury, Mass.) was first in the 500 yard freestyle (5:43.65) with Lauren Jette (Old Lyme, Conn.) second (5:43.99). Alyssa Glass (Cheshire, Conn.) took first in the women's 100 yard freestyle in 58.25.
The Bryant men were led by freshman John Cieslewski (Watertown, Conn.) who took first in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:34.45 and Greg Reed's (Pembroke, Mass.) first in the 500 freestyle in 5:52.24.
Bryant will host Saint Michael's College in a Northeast-10
Conference meet next Saturday at the Chace Athletic Center Pool
starting at 1 p.m.
