Track & Field Heads To New England Championships this Weekend in New Hampshire
SMITHFIELD, RI - Following last week's cancellation of the Northeast-10 Conference Track & Field Championships, the Bryant University men's and women's track & field teams will send a strong contingent to the 2005 New England Track & Field Championships this weekend. The meet, which starts Thursday and runs through Saturday, will be held at the University of New Hampshire.

Greigre Finishes Fourth in 200 Meters Saturday To Lead Indoor Track
BOSTON, Mass. - Bryant sophomore Hafiz Greigre continues to raise the bar for the Bulldog indoor track & field teams. Ranked 19th nationally in the men's 200 meters, Greigre set a new school record with a time of 21.83 seconds Friday night and placed fourth overall in the finals of the 200 meters Saturday at the New England Championships at Boston University.

Indoor Track Sending Nine To New England Championships
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track & field teams will send nine representatives to compete in this weekend's New England Indoor Track & Field Championships at Boston University. The meet will kick off on Friday and conclude Saturday. Jess Cegarra, the Northeast-10 Shot Put champion is seeded 14th while Hafiz Greigre is seeded third with a time of 6.47 in the 55 meters and ninth in the 200 meters.

Indoor Track & Field Travels to Northeast-10 Championships Tonight
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track & field teams travel to New Haven, Conneticut this afternoon to take part in the 2005 Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championships. The championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut, will start at 3 p.m. with the weight throw, long jump, and pole vault. The Bryant men look to improve on last year's fifth-place finish while the women were also fifth. Sophomore Jessica Cegarra seeks to defend her indoor shot put title today.

NEW HAVEN, CONN. -- Bryant's Jessica Cegarra successfully defended her indoor Northeast-10 Conference shot put title on Friday night while the sophomore played a role in the 4x400 relay team's new indoor school record as the Bulldog indoor track & field teams competed at the conference indoor championships at Southern Connecticut State University.

Greigre and Lynch Earn Firsts at Tufts Indoor Stampede
MEDFORD, Mass. - Sophomore Hafiz Greigre of Attleboro took home first place honors in the men's 55 meters while teammate Dallas Lynch won the men's triple jump at Saturday's Tufts University Stampede. Jessica Cegarra earned a second-place finish in the women's shot put. The Bulldogs will travel to the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championships next Saturday at Southern Connecticut.

SOUTH EASTON, MASS - Bryant sophomore Hafiz Greigre and freshman Samantha Genatossio were recently named Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. Both had standout performances last week at the Smith College Invitational and played a key roll in establishing four new Bryant Indoor school records.

Greigre Sets School Mark in 200m; Sophomore Ranked Seventh
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University sophomore Hafiz Greigre set a new school indoor record in the men's 200 meters last Saturday at the Wesleyan University Cardinal Invitational in Middletown, Conn. Greigre, a native of Attleboro, Mass., placed second in a time of 22.22 seconds, breaking the old mark by .73 tenths of a second.

Cegarra and Paul Shine at Wesleyan Invitational
MIDDLETOWN, CONN. - Bryant's Jessica Cegarra and Caleb Paul turned in solid performances at Saturday's Wesleyan University Cardinal Indoor Track Meet. Cegarra took first place in the women's shot put while Paul took home second in the men's 1,500 meters. Hafiz Greigre took home a pair of second-place finishes in both the men's 200 meters and long jump competition.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams traveled to Harvard on Saturday for the final meet of the 2004 year. The Bulldogs will return to action on January 29 at Wesleyan University.

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams opened the winter season at the Brown University Alden Invitational on Saturday. Hafiz Greigre of Attleboro, Mass. had a strong day, placing second in the 55 meters in 6:54.
