PROVIDENCE, RI - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams opened the winter season at the Brown University Alden Invitational on Saturday. Hafiz Greigre of Attleboro, Mass. had a strong day, placing second in the 55 meters in 6:54.

Greigre captured first place in the 300 meter dash in a time of 36.05 seconds while teammate Joe Brennan was fourth in 39.06. Peter Scannapieco was eighth in the 800 meters in 2:12.01 while Eric Haywood was next in 2:12.44.

Freshman Nick Balistrierri finished fifth in the 55 meter hurdles in 8:57 while Griegre took home sixth-place in the men's long jump.

On the women's side, Sandre Greene placed 9th in the 1,000 meters in 3:43.50 while teammate Stephanie Rosen was 10th in 3:43.80. Freshman Nicole Radzik was seventh in the 3,000 meters in a time of 11:15.78.

Amber Torrey, a freshman from Planfield, N.H. was 11th in the women's shot put with a mark of 34 feet, 1.25 inches and later placed ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 42-8.25.
