Greigre Sets School Mark in 200m; Sophomore Ranked Seventh

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University sophomore Hafiz Greigre set a new school indoor record in the men's 200 meters last Saturday at the Wesleyan University Cardinal Invitational in Middletown, Conn. Greigre, a native of Attleboro, Mass., placed second in a time of 22.22 seconds, breaking the old mark by .73 tenths of a second.
Greigre is currently ranked No. 7 nationally for the 200 meters after the NCAA converted his flat-track time to 21.92 seconds. Kendall Stevens of Findlay University has the nation's top indoor time of 21.49.
Bryant will compete in the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Southern Connecticut. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held at Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, March 11-12.
