SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University has announced the resignation of head cross country / track & field coach Amy Laughlin who will continue to pursue her graduate degree. Bryant will begin an immediate search for a replacement.

Three School Records Fall at New England Championships
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bryant men's and women's track & field teams battled through the elements this past weekend to place 23rd and 27th respectively out of 36 teams competing at the 2006 New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships at M.I.T.'s Steinbrenner Track. Rachel Martinich, Caleb Paul, and Nicole Radzik all set new school records at the meet.

SMITHFIELD,RI - The Bryant men's and women's track & field teams set or equaled a total of 11 school records at Saturday's Northeast-10 Conference Championship Track & Field Championship at the Bryant Track Complex. The Bryant women placed third in the team standings while the Bulldog men were fourth.

UMass Lowell Women Win Conference Title; Southern Connecticut Men Take First at 2006 Northeast-10 Conference Championships Saturday
SMITHFIELD, RI – UMass Lowell junior sprinter Toni-Marie Henry took home first place in the women's 100 meter dash and placed second in the 200m to help the Riverhawks successfully defend their Northeast-10 Conference Track & Field Championship this afternoon at the 2006 conference meet held at Bryant University. UMass Lowell edged runner-up Southern Connecticut but only 10 points, 225 to 215 to capture the outdoor title. Bryant's Hafiz Greigre (left) was named the 2006 Male Athlete of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference. Greigre turned in another stunning performance at Saturday's championships.

Four More Track Records Tumble As Bulldogs Run Well at Brown Springtime Invite Sunday
PROVIDENCE, RI - The Bryant track & field teams set four new school records Sunday afternoon at the Brown University Springtime Invitational. Hafiz Greigre, Rob Schneider, Rachel Martinich, and Natasha Stevenson all set new marks while the rest of the Bulldogs enjoyed one of their best meets of the spring season. Bryant will host the Northeast-10 Conference Championships this Saturday at the Bryant Track.

Brian Ford Named Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week; Martinich Named Freshman Field Athlete of the Week
EASTON, Mass. - Bryant University freshman standout Brian Ford (Tewksbury, Mass.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman Track Athlete of the Week while fellow classmate Rachel Martinich (Fairfield, Conn.) was tabbed the NE-10 Field Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office this week. Ford placed second overall in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase at last Saturday's M.I.T. Coed Invitational in 10 minutes, 16.90 seconds. Martinich was fifth in the women's javelin with a personal best 109-4. Hafiz Greigre and Rob Schneider were named to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Greigre and Schneider Have Record Day As Outdoor Track & Field Compete at M.I.T. Saturday
CAMBRIDGE, MA - Despite the overcast conditions, the Bryant men's and women's outdoor track & field teams saw two new records set as well as many personal marks established at Saturday's M.I.T. Coed Invitational. Sophomore Hafiz Greigre set a new school record - his third outdoor mark - in the men's 100 meters, finishing in a time of 10.71 seconds. In addition, the men's 4x400 meter relay squad set a new school record in a first-place finish time of 3:24.24.

WORCESTER, MASS - Sophomore Rebecca Lange set four new season-best marks in placing 14th overall at this week's Holy Cross Multi-Event Meet Heptathlon. Lange earned a school-record 2,993 total points in the seven events over the course of two days.

Stevenson and Greigre Earn Northeast-10 Conference Honors
SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University junior Natasha Stevenson of Haverhill, Mass. and sophomore Hafiz Greigre of Attleboro, Mass. have been named Northeast-10 Conference Track Athletes of the Week the conference announced this week. In addition, Stevenson was named the ECAC Female Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. Outdoor Season Full Of Promise For Men's and Women's Track & Field; Bulldogs Host Pair of Home Events Including Bryant Invitational April 8
Bryant University men's and women's outdoor track & field coach Amy Laughlin returns a deep and talented team in 2006, looking to make a run towards a strong finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship in May which will be hosted by Bryant University. Laughlin's Bulldogs are coming off a strong finish to an indoor season that saw several school records fall and individuals advance to the New England Championships as well as nationals. In addition, Bryant will host the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at the newly resurfaced Bryant track in May. It will be the second home meet of the season for the Bulldogs who will host the annual Bryant Invitational April 8. Earlier this month, the Bulldogs were picked fourth respectively in the preseason coaches' poll.

Greigre Runs 22.16 in Men's 200 Meter Prelims at Nationals to Conclude Tremendous Indoor Season
BOSTON, Mass. - Bryant sophomore sprinter Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, Mass.) placed fourth in his heat of the men's 200 meter dash in 21.80 Friday evening and finishes 16th with a converted time (banked track) of 22.16, concluding a remarkable indoor season. Greigre, the owner of five school indoor records set this winter, captured the Northeast-10 Conference 200 meter indoor title and placed third in the event at the New England Championships last month.

Bryant's Hafiz Greigre Qualifies For National Indoor Championships in 200 Meters
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant sophomore Hafiz Greigre has qualified for the NCAA Indoor National Championships in the 200 meters. The Attleboro, Mass. native placed third in the event at last weekend's New England Championships, posting the 8th-best time in the country in the event. The Indoor Championships will take place Mar. 10-11 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.

Indoor Track & Field Teams Compete at New England Championships
BOSTON, Mass. - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track and field teams sent several representatives to the New England Indoor Championships at Boston University this weekend. On Friday Natasha Stevenson set two school records in a pair of preliminary events in both the 55m and 200m. Sophomore Hafiz Greigre also had a record breaking weekend, setting a new school mark and earning an NCAA provisional mark in the men's 55 meters with a second-place finish in the 55 meters in 6.38 seconds. He would later take third in the finals of the men's 200 meters in 21.57 seconds.

Greigre Named NE-10 Track Athlete of the Week; Ranked 16th in 200
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant sophomore Hafiz Greigre has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Track Athlete of the Week after winning two conference titles in the men's 55 and 200 meter dash while setting a school record in the men's long jump. Greigre is currently ranked No. 16 in the 200m and will compete this weekend at the New England Championships in Boston.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams finished fourth at Saturday's Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championship Saturday at Southern Connecticut. Sophomore sprinter Hafiz Greigre proved to be the fastest sprinter in the Northeast-10 Indoor season this year, capturing first place in both the 55 and 200 meters to lead the way for the Bulldogs. Bryant will look to send several athletes to the upcoming New England Indoor Championships Feb. 24-25 at Boston University.

NORTH HAMPTON, Mass - The Bryant University men's and women's indoor track teams continued to compete at a high level as the Bulldogs took home a second and third place finish at Saturday's Smith Tartan Invitational.
