Indoor Track Athletes Honored by Northeast-10 Conference
SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University's Dallas Lynch (Wayne, NJ) and Amber Torrey (Plainfield, NH) were named Indoor Track Athletes of the Week respectively by the Northeast-10 Conference this week for their performances at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday.
Lynch placed fourth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 45 feet, 3 3/4 inches and followed with a fifth-place finish in the long jump, clearing 21-3.75.
Torrey earned a first place finish in the women's weight throw at Harvard with a mark of 49 feet, 8.5 inches. The toss qualifies her for the New England Indoor Championships later this season. In addition, Torrey placed eighth in the shot put (35-3.75).
In addition, Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, MA), Natasha Stevenson (Haverhill, MA), and Nicole Radzik (Sutton, MA) were named to the weekly conference honor roll. Greigre set a school record with a third-place finish in the 500 meters (1:05.70) while Stevenson improved on her school record mark in the 200 meters with a time of 26.06 seconds at Harvard. Radzik set a school record in the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:58.25, finishing fifth.
