Four Track Athletes Named To Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll

FOUR HONORED BY NORTHEAST-10 ON WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

SMITHFIELD,RI - The Bryant University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams placed four individuals on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for their performances at last weekend's Bryant Invitational. 

Senior Mike Nessralla (Halifax, Mass.) captured first place honors in both the men's shot put and discus throw at the Bryant Invite.  Nessralla took top honors in the shot put with a mark of 42 feet, 10.25 inches and later added a season-best throw in the discus at 146 feet, 6 inches.  Nessralla would later take fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 143 feet, 10 inches.

Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, Mass.) also earned weekly honor roll recognition by the conference office following a first place finish in the men's 100 meter dash in a time of 10.98 seconds and by leading the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the men's 4x100 meter relay. 

On the women's side, Amber Torrey (Plainfield, NH) took two first place titles at the Bryant Invitational, winning the women's shot put with a mark of 32 feet, 8.5 inches and later taking top honors in the women's discus with a best throw of 99 feet, 6 inches.  She would later take fourth in the hammer throw at 119-10. 

Sophomore Nicole Radzik (Sutton, Mass.) rounds out the weekly honors following her record-setting performance in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase.  Despite the cold, rainy (and occasional passing flurries), Radzik improved on her school record in the event by finishing second in a time of 12 minutes, 13.57 seconds.   She would conclude the day wtih a 14th-place finish in the women's 800 meters in 2:39.39.
