Stevenson and Greigre Earn Northeast-10 Conference Honors
GREIGRE AND STEVENSON NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Bryant University's track & field standouts Hafiz
Greigre (Attleboro, Mass.) and Natasha
Stevenson (Haverhill, Mass.) have been selected as the
Northeast-10 Conference men's and women's track athletes of the
week respectively. The announcement was made this week by the
conference office.
Greigre won by the men's 100 meters and 200m at the Rhode Island College Invitational last week. An indoor national qualifier in the 200m, Greigre placed first in the 200m in his first outdoor event in 21.94 seconds and also won the 100m in 10.94 seconds.
Stevenson set a pair of records for the Bulldogs in her first outdoor meet with the Bulldogs, winning the 100 meters in a school record time of 12.54 seconds and followed with a first in the 200m in a record time of 26.24.
In addition, Mike Nessralla (Halifax, Mass.) and Amber Torrey (Plainfield, NH) were named to the weekly Northeast-10 Honor Roll for their performances at the Rhode Island Invitational. Nessralla took first in the men's discus throw with a mark of 144 feet, 6 inches, while Torrey earned a first-place finish in the women's shot put with a mark of 34 feet, 7 inches.
The Bulldogs will host the annual Bryant Invitational this Saturday at the Bryant Track.
