Greigre Named NE-10 Track Athlete of the Week; Ranked 16th in 200
GREIGRE NAMED NE-10 TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK; SET TO RUN AT NEW ENGLANDS
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant sophomore Hafiz Greigre has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Track Athlete of the Week after winning two conference titles in the men's 55 and 200 meter dash while setting a school record in the men's long jump. Greigre is currently ranked No. 16 in the 200m and will compete this weekend at the New England Championships in Boston.
Greigre qualified for the finals of the men's 55 meter dash by finishing third in his heat and blazed to a first place finish in the finals in a school-record time of 6.44 seconds. Greigre would also place first in the men's 200 meter dash and helped the Bulldogs earn points with a second-place finish in the men's long jump. Greigre set another school mark by clearing 22 feet, 1.75 inches.
In the latest national standings, Greigre is ranked 16th in Division II this season with an indoor mark of 21.75.
