Sprinter Hafiz Greigre Honored By U.S. Track Coaches For Work In the Classroom

SMITHFIELD, RI - Already established as one of the top track &
field athletes at Bryant and perhaps in the Northeast-10
Conference, HAFIZ GREIGRE (Attleboro, Mass.) has
also found success in the classroom. Named to the
Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll last week, Greigre was
named today to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches
Association (USTFCCA) Division II Men's All-Academic Track &
Field team
Greigre, the holder of 10 Bryant indoor and outdoor school
records, won both the men's 100 and 200 meter dash conference
titles this past year and was named the NE-10 Male Track Athlete of
the Year. During last year's indoor championships, Greigre
qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in the 200
meters with one of the top times in the nation in the
event.
A management major at Bryant, Greigre is a 2003 graduate of Attleboro High School.
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors individuals and teams for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, an individual athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have met the NCAA Division II national qualifying standard in his event.
