Greigre and Torrey Named Athletes of the Week; Four Others to NE-10 Honor Roll
Two Bulldogs Named Northeast-10 Track Athletes of the Week
SOUTH EASTON, MASS. - Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, Mass.) and Amber Torrey (Plainfield, NH) were named the male and female athletes of the week Monday by the Northeast-10 for their performances at the Northeastern Winter Carnival.
Greigre set a school record in the 55-meter dash, finishing in 6.42 seconds for second place overall. Greigre was the co-men's athlete of the week, trying with UMass Lowell's Clint Cooper.
Torrey captured first place in the women's weight throw with a mark of 49 feet, 7.75 inches. She also placed ninth in the shot put at 36-6.25.
Nicole Radzik (Sutton, Mass.) was named to the honor roll, after setting a school record with a third-place finish in the 3000 meter dash in 10:35.37
On the court, Nate Sudlow (Brooklyn, NY) was a honor roll selection. The senior averaged 14.5 points and seven rebounds, and made 11 of 12 free throws.
Co-captains Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) and Erin Murphy (Albany, NY) were also selected to the honor roll. Skiba leads the Bulldgos with 16 points per game and over seven assists per game, tops in the NE-10, while Murphy averaged 11.5 points in two games and grabbed 7.5 rebounds per game. Skiba also reached the 1,000 point milestone in a 80-76 win versus Assumption.
