Bulldogs Capture Numerous Events at RIC Invite

RESULTS

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bryant outdoor track squad competed in its first spring meet Saturday, capturing many races at the RIC Invite.

On the women's side, Natasha Stevenson took first place honors in the 100 meters and 200 meters, while Stephanie Montagno finished second in both races.

Justine Douvadjian captured the 400 meters in a time of 1:02.79, while Nicole Radzik won the 3000 meters by almost 50 seconds. Stephanie Kirk (100 meters) and Liana Greig (400 meters) each won their respective hurdle events, while the Bulldog relay teams won the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 races.

Carey Fitzgerald won the pole vault, while Jessica Cegarra captured the discus throw with Amber Torrey finishing right behind her in second.

On the men's side, Hafiz Greigre continued his outstanding season winning the 100 meters and 200 meters races.

Joe Brennan captured the 400 meters in 49.99 seconds, while Alex Engel took second. Andrew Holmes won the 5000 meters, narrowly beating Nate Green. Zah Perron took first in the 400 meter hurdles, while Bryant's 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams ran to victory.

Rob Schneider was victorious in the pole vault, and Steve Haskell rounded out the day with a second-place finish in the shot put.

The Bulldogs will continue their spring season next Saturday when they host the Bryant Invitational at 10 a.m.
