GREIGRE NAMED ALL-REGION BY TRACK AND FIELD COACHES
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University sprinter Hafiz Greigre
(Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the
Year in the Northeast Region by the U.S. Track & Field and
Cross Country Coaches Association for the Division II outdoor track
season.
Greigre, the Northeast-10 Conference 100 meter and 200 meter champion and New England Champion in the 400 meters, will compete at this week's NCAA Division II Championships in Charlotte, NC. Greigre will run the 200m on Thursday and the 400m this Friday. He is currently ranked No. 4 nationally in the 400m.
An outstanding student in the classroom, Greigre, who was honored academically last year by the USTFCCCA, recently earned a perfect 4.0 GPA after taking seven classes this past spring while competing with the Bulldogs.
