Bulldog indoor track teams open 2006-07 season at the Husky Winter Carnival

Track Team to Open 2006-07 Indoor Season under Coach Trish Hillery

SMITHFIELD- The Bulldog indoor track team will look to build on an impressive 2005-06 season when they kick off their 2006-07 season Saturday at the Husky Winter Carnival in Boston

The Bulldog men are led by junior Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, MA) who won two indoor Northeast-10 titles last season. Hafiz went on to qualify for the NCAA Championship in the 200 meter and finished 8th nationally. Greigre has set 10 school records in his first two years of competition.

The women are led by returnee Natasha Stevenson (Haverhill, MA).Stevenson set two school records (in the 100m and 200m) including a first place finish in the 200m at the conference meet. 

This will mark the first indoor season for new coach Trish Hillery. The former Providence College runner was named head coach in August.

 The Husky Winter Carnival is hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center. Over 20 colleges and universities will compete at the meet.
