A decorated track athlete in high school and college, Simeone brings a wealth of experience to the Bulldogs. A native of Middletown, Conn., Simeone will coach the sprints and jumps.
 
He has coached at Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Conn., for the last six years and his athletes have soared to new heights. Under his guidance, the Tigers broke nearly every school record and the 2010 outdoor team won the first state championship in school history. His athletes also posted top 15 finishes at the National Championships in the 200, 5k, DMR and won the 4x800 relay. Simeone coached state champions in the 100, 200, 600, 1000, 1600, 3200 and the triple jump.
 
As an athlete, Simeone excelled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Quinnipiac University. He was a sprinter and jumper for the Tar Heels and competed in multiple ACC Championships. He was voted  UNC Most Improved Athlete in 2002. At Quinnipiac, Simeone was the indoor track MVP and is the current school record holder in the 55m and 200m dash. In high school, Simeone was ranked third in the United States in the 200m indoors.
 
He is USATF Level I certified and has worked as a physical therapy aide, rehabilitating professional athletes to return to their sport.
