Bulldogs Defeat Stonehill 81-68

EASTON, MASS - Bryant's backcourt duo of sophomore Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) and Dede Fogarty (Middletown, Conn.) combined to score 29 points and accounted for 14 of the Bulldogs' 24 assists in leading Bryant to an 81-68 win at Stonehill College here Saturday.
Skiba had 16 points and dished out seven assists as the Bulldogs improved to 10-3 on the season and 5-3 in the Northeast-10. The Bulldogs also exacted a little revenge after falling to the Chieftains in overtime 85-75 back on Dec. 12 in Smithfield, RI.
Leading 39-31 at the half, Bryant used a 13-2 run midway through the second half to take a 69-52 lead with 6:53 left. Lynn Zoltowski (Colts Neck, NJ) came off the bench to help spark the run with a pair of three-point shots. They were the only points in the game for Zoltowski.
Fogarty finished with 13 points as four players reached double figures including Kellie Fournier (Westport, Mass.) who had 14 and Lindsay Hermann (Bristol, Conn.) who had 15.
Stonehill (8-5, 4-4) was led by Rachael Wile's 16. Bryant will host Merrimack on Tuesday (5:30 p.m.).
