American International (15-1) is first overall in the Northeast Region followed by Merrimack (13-2) and Southern Connecticut (12-2). Bryant will face both Merrimack and Southern Connecticut once more this season on the road. Bentley is fourth in the poll.
Eight teams will qualify for the NCAA Northeast-10 Regional in 2005. Five will seek at-large spots with the Northeast-10 Conference, NYCAC, and CACC each receiving automatic bids.
Bryant advanced to the championship game at last year's NCAA Regional Championship, defeating Bentley and Stonehill along the way.
