SOUTH EASTON, MASS. – Bryant senior guard Dede Fogarty (Middletown, Conn.) was named to the Northeast-10 Women’s Basketball All Conference Second Team in an announcement made today by the conference office. She was joined by fellow Bulldog Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) who was named to the third team.
Fogarty was named after an outstanding senior season that saw her lead Bryant in scoring and steals. For the season she averaged 13.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game. She also notched a career-high 27 points this season in a game against Bentley. Fogarty is currently sixth on Bryant’s all-time scoring list with 1,298 points.
Skiba was named for her tremendous sophomore season that saw her turn into the teams true point guard leading the team in assists with 128. For the season she averaged 10.3 points, two rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
Southern Connecticut State University senior guard Kim Jackle was been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Basketball “Player of the Year,” as voted upon by the 15 conference coaches. Her head coach Joe Frager was selected as “Coach of the Year.” Frager guided the Owls program to an 18-4 regular season NE-10 mark (23-4 overall), earning a share of conference regular season championship, a first for the since joining the NE-10.
