Michella Named Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University freshman Alyssa Michella (Washington, NJ) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week in leading the Bulldogs to a double-overtime win over Saginaw Valley State Sunday. 

Junior guard Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI) earned honor roll honors by the conference.  Skiba had seven points and a career-best 13 assists in the win over the Cardinals.

Also named to the honor roll was senior Megan Peper (Castleton, NY). Megan notched a double-doublein the victory over Saginaw Valley. Had a career high 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting including 7-for-10 from the charity stripe. Also pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.

Michella added a career-best 14 rebounds and made five three-pointers in the contest for the Bulldogs Sunday.  She is currently averaging 7.4 points per game and leads the team with 16 three's on the year.
