PERRY NAMED WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF WEEK IN NE-10

EASTON, Mass. -  Bryant University senior Shannon Perry (Providence, RI / La Salle) has been named Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 3.  Perry, making her Bryant debut this past week, averaged a double-double in three Bulldog victories. 

Perry scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the team's win over St. Thomas Aquinas and followed with a 19-point, 11-rebound effort against Southern N.H. as the Bulldogs took both games at the Comfort Suites Holiday Classic last week. 

Perry had three steals and made 7 of 11 free throws in the win over Southern N.H.  On Monday, the senior guard poured in 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bulldogs held off Assumption for its fourth-straight win.  Perry was 12 for 15 from the free throw line and picked up three steals.

Junior guard Joanna Skiba (Providence, RI / Classical) was named to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll thanks to 23-point performances against Assumption and St. Thomas Aquinas as well has her 14-points and five assists in the team's win over Southern N.H.

The Bryant men's and women's basketball teams visit Bentley on Thursday in Waltham, MA.
