Senior Shannon Perry Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Smithfield, RI – Late Monday, the Northeast-10 office released the Women’s Basketball report for games through January 15. Bryant University senior forward Shannon Perry (Providence, RI) was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week.

This is the second time Perry has been named Player of the Week and she was also named to the Honor Roll last week. Shannon earned the award by averaging 25.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Bulldogs. She had a game-high 24 points and 15 rebounds in a win at Merrimack and a game and season-high 27 points and 12 rebounds at Assumption. Perry went a combined 16-26 from the field and 19-24 from the free throw line. Also added six steals.

Later on Monday, after the release, Perry and the Bulldogs suited up as they welcomed in the 13th ranked AIC Yellow Jackets. Perry continued her solid performance notching her eighth straight double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Perry will look to continue her streak on Saturday, January 21 when she and the Bulldogs will welcome Saint Rose to the Chace Athletic Center at 1:30pm.
