Kelsey O'Keefe Named Freshman of the Week

SOUTH EASTON, MASS. - Bryant freshman Kelsey O'Keefe (Warren, Mass.) capped off an outstanding first season at Bryant by being named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week for the second straight week.

O'Keefe scored 24 points in a 78-73 loss to Saint Rose in the Northeast-10 quarterfinals last Tuesday.

She finishes the 2006-07 season with five NE-10 weekly awards, two as Player of the Week and three as Freshman of the Week.

Last week, O'Keefe was also selected to the All-Conference Rookie Team.

She led the Bulldogs in scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rbg).

Bryant finished its season seventh in the Northeast-10 with a 19-10 record, proving better than their preseason ranking of 11th place. They had many memorable victories this season, including an upset over 24th-ranked Saint Rose and the first ever regular season win over Bentley.
