WOMEN'S BASKETBALL VISITS ASSUMPTION WEDNESDAY

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant women's basketball team looks to bounce back from Sunday's 65-54 loss to Franklin Pierce at home when the Bulldogs head up Route 146 to face Assumption College in a Northeast-10 Conference game at Laska Gym. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

Cara Johnson (Endicott, NY) had 14 points to pace the Bulldogs while Kelsey O'Keefe (Warren, Mass.) and Kristin Mraz (Johnstown, NY) each chipped in with 10 points as Bryant dropped its first game of the season (2-1, 1-1 NE-10).

Assumption (5-2, 1-1 NE-10) is coming off an 82-69 win over Saint Anselm Sunday as sophomore forward Kayla Parker had a career-high 27 points and eight rebounds while junior guard Bethany Plasski added a season-high 25 in the win. Saint Anselm led 21-20 at the half but an 18-0 run by the Greyhounds in the second half proved to be the difference.

Following Wednesday's game, the Bulldogs will return home to host UMass Lowell on Saturday at 1:30 pm and Bentley next Tuesday night starting at 5:30 pm.
