WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER
SMITHFIELD,RI - The Bryant University women's basketball team held its annual end of year awards banquet on Friday, April 3, 2009. Head coach Mary Burke handed out several awards during the evening after completing a successful first year of Division I competition. The Bulldogs finished with an impressive 11-18 record that was highlighted by a five-game winning streak. They also posted six wins over Northeast Conference opponents and finished the season as the winningest Division I women's basketball team in Rhode Island. Each women's team member recieved a plaque highlighting their first Division I win over the University of New Hampshire, 69-66, on November 14, 2008.
